'Crying Shame' Music Video

The idea of this project 'Colours' is that to face the past that was forgotten and lost in despair by re-recording/releasing those hidden songs John Bliss wrote nearly (or more than) 30 years ago...

"The idea hit me after I wrote several songs in 2012 (released as '2013 Demos'), I realised that some songs don't quite fit the CF sound as a Psychedelic pop/Baroque pop band we've been sort of known for. Those songs sounded more like New wave/Power pop that I used to play and write back in the 1980s. However we recorded and released 2 songs from '2013 Demos' as '10th Anniversary Single' and I just felt it's time to record those not so 'Psychedelic' songs as Clockwork Flowers in order to start 'Colours' project in 2015.

I've always wanted to record and release those hidden/forgotten songs for such a long time but I have never had a chance and also I wasn't quite ready to overcome and control those emotional pain, suffering and anger I experienced 30 years ago...so it took me 30 years to start the project! Although I lost almost everything including demo tapes, musical instruments, recording equipment and so on when I left England for the Himalayas in 1996, I've always kept those songs in my head since the 1980s! I know that the process of remembering those songs would be quite painful and also dangerous but I decided to go through...and it took us more than 3 years to complete this project. We're so proud of ourselves that we have achieved things we couldn't in the past after 30 years and now, we are ready and it's time to move forward..." - John Bliss
