Happy 19th anniversary Clockwork Flowers!
We're celebrating the band's 19th anniversary by releasing 'Autumn Afternoon' as the 2nd single along with a new music video (our 14th self directed/produced video) from our forthcoming original album 'Electric Wonderland'. So far, we have recorded 8 songs and are in the middle of mixing/mastering sessions for 'All I Want' and 'Rainbow Trees'. Visit 'Electric Wonderland' album page to follow the recording project. We keep adding new video diaries...
Also, we have just celebrated the 30th anniversary of 'Sundial Records' John set up in London from which he released his very first single 'Flowers' on 31st May 1994.
John recorded three tracks 'Flowers', 'We All Know We Are Here To Live' and 'The Day I Met You' for the record at Kaleidoscope Studio in Portobello Road, Notting Hill, London. Initially, we set up the studio in a cupboard under the stairs (like Harry Potter!) but John's asthma got worse as he couldn't really breathe in there! So, we moved the studio to the bedroom. Until we left London to Avebury in 1996, we recorded 20-30 songs in the studio on TEAC 3340S - a 4 track reel to reel tape machine wich John bought from Howard Devoto of Buzzcocks/Magazine... By the way, the first single '1994 from 'Electric Wonderland' is about that time...
Anyway, our new single 'Autumn Afternoon' is available on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and other popular download and streaming sites on June 11th 2024!
Love & Peace
